Invited by the Korean Department, School of Foreign Studies of Jilin University, Professor Jeon Eun-jin from the College of Humanities and Sciences of Hanyang University, Korea, delivered an academic lecture titled "Korean Markers and Expressions" through Tencent Meeting at 15:30 on November 23, 2022. The lecture was hosted by Mr. Meng Gang from the School of Foreign Studies. The teachers and students from the Korean Language Department attended the lecture.
In this lecture, Professor Jeon focused on two aspects: how to mark Korean and how to express it correctly. In terms of marking methods, Professor Jeon explained in detail the spelling methods of Korean, the rules of standard language, loanword notation, and Roman alphabet notation, and deepened listeners’ impressions by giving examples of various common words. Professor Jeon illustrated the problems that often occur in Korean learning with long sentences and examples of error-prone phrases. This lecture provided valuable advice for students and teachers in learning and using Korean.
After the lecture, the students of the Korean Department and Professor Jeon Eun-jin had a passionate discussion and exchange on the symbols and expressions of the Korean language, and Professor Jeon patiently answered the students' questions. The lecture lasted for one and a half hours. Teachers and students participating in the lecture benefited a lot and expressed their gratitude to Professor Jeon.
