On 13 December, The First Jilin Provincial Russian Knowledge Contest organized by College of Foreign Languages in Jilin University was successfully held in the Lecture hall, Room 500, of the Foreign Languages Building.
The division chief of Eurasian Division of Jilin Foreign Affairs Office Ming Sheng and the Vice Dean of the College of Foreign Languages Liu Zuoyan presented in person at the contest. The contest consisted of two parts: language competence and language-related artistic skills. Students from Jilin University, Northeast China Normal University, Changchun Technological University, Changchun Normal University, Jilin Huaqiao University of Foreign Languages, Changchun University and Changchun Industrial University participated in the contest.
For the contest of language competence, contestants were asked to deliver a two-minute prepared speech and then answer questions related. After that the junior group was tested for cultural knowledge relevant to Russia and the senior group competed for interpretation performance.
