In order to enrich the extracurricular cultural life of teachers and students, improve their physical quality, enhance their emotional communication, and cultivate the spirit of unity and cooperation, the Labor Union of JLU School of Foreign Languages organized the 16th Table Tennis Competition & the 1st “Teacher-Student Cup” Table Tennis Team Competition in the afternoon of April 24th, 2019.
The competition received a positive response from teachers and students. A total of 50 players from six teams including the departments of English, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Spanish and administration participated in the competition. The round robin system was adopted in the competition, with a total of 15 matches. Each match consisted of men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The system of BO5 was adopted. After six hours of competition, teams from the Russian Department, Japanese Department and Spanish Department won the first, second and third place respectively.
The competition provided a platform for teachers and students to communicate and friendly compete, stimulating their enthusiasm for competitive sports, showed the spirit of being perseverant and enterprising, and achieved the purpose of promoting bonding, cohesion and physical and mental health.
