Professor Huang Mei, Doctoral Supervisor, Member of the Foreign Lanauge Education Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, Vice Chairman of the Russian Language Education Advisory Subcommittee, and Executive Director of the Foreign Language Teaching Research Branch of the China Higher Education Association.
Vice President of China Bakhtin Research Association, Director of China Foreign Literary Theory and Comparative Poetics Research Association, Director of China Russian Literature Research Association, Director of China Russian Friendship Association, Executive Director of Central Asia Friendship Association under the China Foreign Friendship Association, Director of the Education Council of China Russian Peace, Friendship, and Development Commission.
Mainly engages in the teaching, research, and translation of Russian literature, Russian teaching and research, Russian testing, textbook compilation, and other work. She has presided over or participated in a number of national and provincial level projects, published 1 monograph, multiple translation works, and over 40 papers. She has compiled multiple textbooks as specified in the national "11th Five Year Plan" and "12th Five Year Plan", one of which was awarded the National Excellent Textbook Award, several others have won the National Excellent Higher Education Textbook Award for Russian Language Majors. She has also repeatedly won the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Instructor Award of Beijing International Studies University.
Introduction to Lecture:
Talented and passionate, Russian and Soviet poets had leaving a rich and colorful poetry collection for world literature. Though the history of Russian poetry has relatively short, there have been many brilliant poets and excellent works. The regularity of the rhythm, the delicacy of the emotions, and the breadth of the ideas make the poetry it moving to read and easy to relate to. The study of poetry should be conducted from multiple perspectives, such as the historical background of the poems, the poets' life experiences, poetry structure and content, etc. A multi-angle, multi-level, and comprehensive approach is the only way to interpret and study poetry.
